What to eat when you forget your lunch
Halfway through my commute this morning I realized that I forgot my lunch. I had really been looking forward to leftovers of pasta primavera, too! Luckily my desk at work is well stocked with fridge-free lunches. I have only 20 minutes for lunch so leaving work is nearly impossible. When I forgot my lunch in the past I just ate the USDA school lunch… yuck.
Some fridge-free lunches in my desk include:
- Low-sodium canned soup
- Instant oatmeal packets
Other possibilities could be:
- Fridge-free fruits like apples, oranges, and bananas
- Protein shake drink mix
- Trail mix
- Dry cereal (add milk)
