Thrift Fix Favorites
I enjoyed all that Goodwill has to offer on my way home from Tuesday’s conference. There were three shops on the way home and each had something to offer my glassware collection.
These cups and saucers were unmarked, but I liked the pattern and the similarity to hobnail, my favorite.
I found this matching serving bowl at the next shop and found a tiny anchor emblem on the bottom. When I got home I researched “bubble” pattern and found out that is actually the name for the pattern! Wouldn’t it just look adorable holding jelly beans or grapes?
Jackpot! (Or, goldmine, if I wanted to sell) Most thrift stores are overpricing Pyrex, but they have luckily not caught on to the Fire King Jadeite craze. These large square plates were priced at just $2.88 each. Although highly collectible, I actually prefer white milk glass. Hopefully I can find a good trade for these.
This little cup was just so adorable- Just the right size for American Girl dolls! I have not found much information on it, but am happy to add it to my collection nonetheless.
I’m looking forward to more treasures as I visit my family this weekend. Stay tuned!
Oh, my Mom has that exact bowl and I love it. She’s had it all my life that I can remember. It usually holds mashed potatoes or peas.
