Published Pattern in Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine!
Yikes! I’m a published author in Primitive Quilts and Projects Magazine! I have yet to get my hands on a copy, but Mom (Jo Kramer of Jo’s Country Junction) posted the above picture on Facebook. I’m so happy with the picture of my afghan!
“Scrap Happy” was inspired by an antique blanket of scrap wool and yarn. My version is made with Moda wool fat quarters. The variety of colors and patterns keeps the antique look. As far as afghans go this was a quick project and it is so comfy! I’m antsy to get it sent back.
Welcome if you are a new reader! I have been one busy girl since I submitted this project way back in March! I am a newlywed! We purchased a home at the end of April and have been busy with updates and improvements. I made the travelling squad for my roller derby team and have been travelling all over Illinois and Wisconsin. I also work full time as a high school Family and Consumer Sciences teacher.
I just don’t have the time to commit to blogging that I used to!
I’ve simplified down to a blog hosted by Blogger. You can read my occasional posts at Kayla La-La Land. My daily food posts are at What the Bleep Do Vegans Eat? and my classroom happenings are kept at Mz. K. Pinz.
I squeeze in knit and crochet projects when I can. You can find all of my free patterns on Ravelry.
Thanks so much for visiting me!
