Cook Time: 6 minutes

Special Chocolate Lava Cake in the Pressure Cooker

Ingredients

  • 5 T Butter
  • 4.25 oz Hershey's Dark Chocolate bar
  • 2 eggs plus 1 yolk
  • 3 T sugar
  • 3 T flour
  • 2 t cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Melt butter and dark chocolate together with double boiler or carefully with a microwave oven.
  2. Whisk together eggs and sugar until sugar is dissolved.
  3. Whisk in butter and chocolate.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa, and salt.
  5. Divide batter between four buttered ramekin cups.
  6. Pour one cup of water in the bottom of a pressure cooker. Place rack in pressure cooker. Arrange the ramekins on the rack.
  7. Lock lid in place. Bring pressure cooker to full pressure and cook for 6 minutes. Cool cooker immediately.
  8. Remove ramekins from the cooker and turn cakes onto a plate.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

The cake was inspired by this recipe from About.com. Be sure that four ramekins fit in your pressure cooker before filling them.
