Pressure Cooker 365 Recipe #54: Italian Meatballs
It is easy to convert slow cooker recipes to be made very quickly in a pressure cooker. I made a fantastic new blog discovery with awesome slow cooker recipes: Crockin’ Girls.
I made Italian Meatballs with just a few adjustments:
- I used a jar of canned spaghetti sauce instead of making my own. I just poured it into the cooker and tossed the meatballs in as I formed them.
- I omitted the cheese.
- I used Italian ground pork.
- I cooked them in the pressure cooker at full pressure for 20 minutes.
This is my first time trying meatballs because raw meat freaks be out. It definitely a fear worth getting over because these are great! Spencer liked them a lot as well.
If you plan on making pasta to go with the meatballs remember not to put long pasta in your pressure cooker. You cannot safely put enough water in your cooker to give the noodles enough room to move around.
