My First Farmer’s Market
Although I have always been a happy patron of farmer’s markets, today was my first time as a vendor.
I set up a little shop on my drying rack selling plastic totes, recycled sweater beanies, and vintage sheet baby quilts.
Even more important than the money I made (and I did make some- woohoo!) were all of the local connections I am building. (Hello there!) Spencer and I have been in town for a year but only now are starting to meet people. I was especially happy to meet the pastor of a Lutheran church in town as well as his wife.
I paid only $5 for my vendor space. I had so much fun that I will consider the $30 year-long pass. Big money, I know.
Just one more reason why small town Iowa rocks.
