Microwave Cooking: Nutella Cake and Pumpkin Cake
Many people are surprised to find out that cake can be made in the microwave. The Nutella cake came out thick and fudgy. The pumpkin cake has a moist smooth texture, more like pumpkin pie. Both cakes are very tasty.
I chose this recipe for my students to make because students had to change the power level of the microwave, which none of them had experience with. Most of the students were familiar with using a microwave oven for cooking, but not for baking.
I overestimated the simplicity of these recipes and will demonstrate in the future. We had a couple of cooked eggs and exploded butter. I will also rewrite the recipes from the blogs I selected so they are easier for beginning cooks to understand.
