Meet Baby Bruce!
We’ve been driving everyone we love crazy for last two years, hemming and hawing over whether to add to our furry brood. Yesterday we finally jumped in!
This is little baby Bruce. He is a 7-week-old yellow labrador retriever. I say “yellow” but he’s actually Tony’s color. Tony started out white as a baby, so we’ll see what comes.
He is such a sweetie! He was the fattest and laziest of his litter and loved to cuddle. He really likes being near humans, and of course, Tony.
Tony doesn’t know what to think quite yet. For awhile he gave us the silent treatment and wouldn’t even look at him. Later on the puppy tried to nurse off him and bit a tender spot.
Tony barked loudly, so we think Bruce got the hint. Tony is definitely warming up to Bruce. He whined at my bedside when Bruce was up at night.

Bruce is very playful and has taken to Tony’s rope toys and balls. That is great because Tony completely loves his stuffed animals and would get really upset if someone “hurt” them. He has some really cute habits that we are sad to have to break… Chasing Tony’s tail, chewing on our toes, and flopping down on our feet if we stand still too long.
We got very little sleep last night and have had a few piddles to clean up. It’s been six years since we’ve had a little guy, we forgot how much work they are! It will all be worth it. We’re so happy to add him to our family!
A love the above photo the big guy telling the little gut whose boss ! Lol
