I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
Happy early (Black) Friday morning!
I assure you that I am not awake this early to go shopping, although the coupons at Joann’s Fabrics are incredible! I woke up early to make Spencer’s lunch and get a head start on homework. Later today I will be going to dinner at Spencer’s parent’s place and will bring dinner rolls. Lucky for me The Frugal Girl posted a collection of her favorite yeast roll recipes. I think I will do the Cheddar Twists or Potato Rolls, as I am out of eggs.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! My little sister was sick so we did not make it up north to visit my family. Mom had a fantastic meal prepared of course. My homemaking skills were a little lacking in the food department- I served ice cream cake. But I made up for it by replacing zippers in Spencer’s work pants. Spencer likes Carhartt work pants but the zippers unraveled in his two newest pairs. It was much more challenging that a standard patch but it only took two $2 zippers and an hour of work to save him from buying two more pairs of $40 work pants.
Maybe it is the Thanksgiving mood… but I feel the need to tell you how amazing Spencer is. While I was replacing the zippers Spencer washed all of the dishes. And cleaned the kitchen. And mopped the floor. The truth is, he does most of the cleaning in our home. We make a great team and I am very thankful for him in my life!
