Happy Birthday, Kelli K!
Today is the day when, 23 years ago, my darling sister Kelli graced the world with her presence. She’s been doin’ what she wants ever since.
So Happy Birthday, You!
This is quite an event, because 23 is the age to be, according to our younger selves. When we were kids, Kelli and I thought that 23 was the age to have it all together- own a home, be married, have kids, etc. Obviously we were about a decade off, but still. It makes me smile that Kelli is so “old.”
And that I’m only 1 year and six days behind. Yikes!
And my brothers are very in to the curse-of-23 thing. I don’t quite follow it, but apparently it is a very ominous number.
This also introduces my first gift-giving opportunity under The Compact. Remember that bobble-cable ascot from a few weeks back? Well, when I tested the pattern I kept the second one for an opportunity just like this one. Kelli tried it on when I visited home last, so I know she’ll like it. Oh, and she’s obsessed with scarves and always wants one more. I look forward to seeing her this Friday!
