Mother Nature and I are not getting along this week. Although the weather on Sunday was beautiful, the ground was too wet to work in my garden. I satisfied my homesteading fix with this Ginger Rhubarb Jam.
Whole Wheat Banana Bread
With bananas to use up but no white flour or vegetable oil, I found this recipe that uses butter and whole wheat flower. I forgot the eggs (doi!) but the bread was still fantastic. We just enjoyed it by the handful instead of the slice. This is certainly my new go-to banana bread recipe.
Spicy Lentil Pasta Sauce
The addition of cinnamon to spaghetti sauce sounded strange, so I was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately it turned out as just that… strange. Subbing lentils for meat in a pasta recipe is a good idea, but one that needs more tweaking.
