    As a practicing vegetarian, I’d hardly call either fish or eggs “must eat” foods.

    Certainly as a vegetarian you know healthful ways to obtain the proper nutrients without eating animal products. However, for the casual observer watching the Today show, the 5 items presented are more healthful than the “Standard American Diet.”

    I don’t think the point of the Today show and Kayla’s article were about being vegetarian. Just about being healthful and the best things to eat, that the majority of people do eat. And some vegetarians do eat eggs.
