Duct-Tape Awesomeness from Karl!
My brother Karl just may be the coolest person in the world.
He is studying at UNI to be a Spanish Education Teacher. He is really excelling in his first year of college. He has set up some great habits for himself and is becoming a stunning young man!
Karl and I were super-close when he was a toddler. He was my annoying little brother for several years. Now that he is studying education and has a great taste in music, we are having more in common again. Not to mention that Karl is selfless and loving- no one could not get along with him.
Way back in August I Facebooked my siblings to challenge them to a zero-cost Christmas. Sure, our $5 gift limit was not excessive, but what fun to have such a challenge!
My message was met with mixed reviews, most being IT’S AUGUST- YOU’RE CRAZY!!!
Karl, from whom I least expected a homemade gift, took my message to heart.
Here is the gift wrapped from Karl:
He made sure to match the outside to the inside:
Inside, I found duct tape roses attached to pens. He thought they would be nice for my classroom, so that my students wouldn’t “forget” to return them. He also made me a mix CD of our favorite band, The White Stripes. He knew that I had only their Icky Thump CD and that I would enjoy the others.
So that’s my blessed brother Karl, the coolest and most caring person in the world. I love that kid!
