DIY Wedding Decor
Just to clear the air…
NO specified wedding plans.
However, a wedding in the next two years is inevitable. Our dating anniversary for the next two years lands on a Friday and Saturday so we are pretty well planning on November 16 of 2012 or 2013 (probably the 13).
As a first year teacher it is my responsibility to decorate the teacher’s lounge for Christmas. Corny, I know. Especially when my own Christmas decor is a Nativity set. End of story.
I refuse to spend money so I am folding scrap paper into these great flower globes. I think it will look like snowballs or mistletoe.
As I was folding it occurred to me that these would make great- and inexpensive- wedding decorations. We will (probably) have a November wedding so mums will be an appropriate seasonal flower. I will continue the motif with floral paper globes.
I will also save money on flowers. Can’t you imagine a flower girl carrying a globe with a great big velvet bow? Adorable!
I will keep an eye out for sparkly black paper at Micheal’s (hello 15% teacher discount) and mix it in with a bulk package of plain paper.
Sounds brilliant, no?
