Dessert For Breakfast, Minus Donut
I’ve been itching to try overnight oats a la Iowa Girl Eats and I finally got the opportunity to try it this morning… or, last night.
Mix one container of yogurt (I used A&E Apple Cinnamon) and 1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats. Leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, I added a chopped apple, a handful of raisins, and a handful of walnuts.
It’s like dessert for breakfast, sans sugary donut. Chewy texture of raisins and oatmeal + crunch of apple and walnut = Perfection.
Iowa Girl Eats has several variations on her overnight oats. Her pumpkin recipe looks pretty tasty. That’d be a great way to use up all of my $.79 canned pumpkin.
