Hi..just a question about plarn. When you fold the plastic bags you say you have tubes. I must be cutting wrong because I don’t have tubes. I have read the tutorial several times now.
I love this idea and want to make the big 19″ tote.
Help please!

Cutting along the “Equator” of plastic bags gives tubes, or rings, that you can link together.

Your website is awesome. Shared it with my sister. Between us we have almost 17 children. Your plarn bags will make great gift bags. Thanks very much. :)

40+ years ago my mother and grandmother were crocheting rugs made from bread wrappers. Still have some of them in my house. :)

I made at least 15 of these last year for Christmas gifts.. Everyone was so pleased I ended up with orders for more for friends… I used different colors, made stripes, used clear bags and they came out looking like Silver… there were so many variations. Love this pattern. I even bought a paper cutter to use to cut the plastic bags – made it a lot easier. I kept different colors of plarn in little baggies so I could mix it up. Great pattern. Great gift.
