Barrel of Monkies
I am busy packing this week. We will be moving most of our things today with Spencer’s dad’s cattle trailer and will take the rest next week.
In all of the times I have moved, several in the last four years, I have never bought boxes. I find that laundry boxes and pillowcases suit me fine.
<Here is my favorite sock monkey peeking out of one of my vintage pillow cases. I like the pillowcases for packing soft goods like fabric, yarn, and clothing because they can fit in places between boxes. I have been able to move with just my car in the past, and I am no minimalist.:)
You may have noticed a decrease in my blogging lately. In addition to packing I have been enjoying digital sabbaticals where I ignore the computer and television. It is great! I find that I am more content with my life if I leave the media out of it.
I have been reading, too. Some of my recent favorites include Winter’s Bone and Fallen. I also checked out a stack of Mother Earth News back issues and have been mulling my way through.
Mother Earth News podcast has been a companion of mine while I pack. You should check it out at Mother Earth News Radio. I tend to be more productive when I am listening to talk radio. Why is that?
