A Time-Capsule of Bad Habits
I am not the most organized person.
In fact, I am a quite unorganized person.
But, I am always improving. I work hard to donate to Goodwill, buy less suff at Goodwill, and take better care of the stuff I have. I have made an honest attempt to keep a clean bedroom, or at least make my bed in the morning.
This weekend I had the opportunity to open my own little time capsule of my organizational habits of more than one year ago. Needless to say, I was disgusted.
A year ago in January I bought a new car and parked my old car in the garage, never to open it again. Until lately I realized (duh) that it was taking up valuable space and could be worth at least some money.
Among other things, in my old car I found:
- My “favorite” denim jacket
- Several headbands
- A handful of change
- An afghan
- Potting soil
Not to mention fast food containers, pop cans, and other garbage in general.
Totally. Gross. And embarrassing. However, enlightening. It was fun to explore my little time capsule, and to know I will never go back there again.
