Today my sock toys welcomed a new friend to their basket.
It’s a little gingerbread boy! My lonely elephant is happy to have a new pal around all those monkeys.
Spencer loves to surprise me with new sock toys because I make such an idiot of myself with them. As Spencer says (endearingly), “You’re treating it like a damn baby.”
I vividly remember seeing the movie Toy Story. I was old enough to to know better but young enough to wonder what my toys did while I was away. Even as a teenager used my little sister as an excuse to play dolls. Now I have a very adult-like hobby of antique collecting which means I can get giddy for new dolls again!
