5 Days for 50 Dollars | Monday
It is easy to make it through college in old jeans and free t-shirts, so final semester comes as a shock when students need appropriate clothes for internships and student teaching. This week I am challenging myself to put together five outfits for only $50.
Today I am wearing:
- Merona button-up, $7 via consignment
- Maurice’s Houndstooth pencil skirt, $7 via consignment
Today’s outfit cost a total of $14.
Many people scoff at purchasing brands like Maurice’s and Merona used when clearance prices are so reasonable. I like to purchase clothes used not only for the great prices, but also because it is better for the environment. I watched the documentary Blood, Sweat, and T-Shirts and recognized Target brands being produced at the sweat shops featured in the film. Since then I choose used when I can, no matter the brand.
